ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
The essential functions of the Dispatcher are to organize, prioritize and equally divide the incoming customer orders to available Field Technicians. May handle service calls from customers. Utilizes customer service training to educate and assist customers in choosing service and products. Follows company training to ensure prompt and accurate dispatch of incoming orders. This position is aware of the importance of Field Technician incentive programs and ensures fair and equitable distribution as well as proper documentation of work.

Must be familiar with local plumbing codes and be able to speak to company product lines with some degree of accuracy. Must be able to work with technicians to ensure correct completion of job. Must have very pleasant telephone demeanor.
Must be able to utilize phone, phone pager, intercom and fax at a high expertise level.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required: A high school diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of two years experience including hands on training and or work in telephone sales and or dispatch is required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to read and write English well enough to read and prepare invoices, time sheets, and proposals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Must be able to successfully complete mathematical aptitude evaluation.
REASONING ABILITY
Must be capable of applying sound business judgment to all decisions.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position will require working indoors. The employee may be called upon to be in customer or service production sites on an as need to basis. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Typical workweek is eight (8) to ten (10) hour workdays five (5) days per week with regular weekend work, as well as early and/or late weekday meetings with customers, vendors and staff personnel as needed.
This position deals with aggressive personalities in a highly competitive industry and will be stressful.
